An appeal to save a dying father of twin boys

Donation protected
This is an urgent request to you all to save not only a single life but a family of four. It is about my friend Syed Faysal. The name Faysal means 'stubborn'. Indeed he continues to fight stubbornly with his life threatening disease; resembling the meaning of his name. But now he needs our help, your help. Together we can make him feel, humanity prevails and we are there for everyone.

Faysal, a 36 year old male in Bangladesh, was living his regular life, with an average job and watching his kids grow up - until he was diagnosed with kidney problem about four years ago. Both his kidneys gradually stopped functioning and his doctors suggested kidney transplant for him to get back to a normal life. Faysal was working in the apparel industry with mediocre pay and his wife is a school teacher. Not being able to afford the huge expenses of a kidney transplant, they went with the course of kidney dialysis instead. But still his condition progressively got worse and caused him to lose his job. Under such circumstances they continued the dialysis as regularly as they could with financial support from his family and friends.

In Bangladesh, we do not have state-supported health-care for such conditions and having health insurance is an obscure concept here. Without such support, a kidney transplant is an audacious dream for this young family of four which is facing extreme difficulty just to make ends meet. After two years of dialysis Faisal’s heart has become very weak and recently he had a severe heart-attack. As more time goes by without a kidney transplant and with dialysis, the probability of such heart-attacks increase exponentially which will lead to his death. Last week, his doctor informed us that only 3% of his kidney functionality is remaining and considering all these things, he needs to have the kidney transplanted within a month to stay alive.

Unfortunately, in Bangladesh it is not possible to have a kidney transplant if the donor is not related by blood. This makes it extremely difficult to find a donor in Bangladesh and therefore the transplant needs to be performed in India. The estimated cost of the treatment in Bangladeshi currency is BDT 3,000,000 (or USD 36000). He is currently on Kidney dialysis twice a week. His current medical treatment cost is around USD 425 a month. This is being managed by his friends. But to reach a goal of USD 36000 or more, and save his life, we need your help.

NO donation is less in this noble cause. Please extend your hands for a family who needs your help.

The fund through this campaign will be extremely useful for his treatment is multiple ways. If the estimated money is being raised, Faysal can be sent to India for his transplant as soon as possible and the doctors are hopeful that he can go back to work upon recovery. A family with two young kids will be saved.

Please join us to be the torch bearer for Faysal to illuminate his path of life. Together we can make this happen.
