Kelly Chapman Memorial Library Fund

Ask any child at Stratford Landing who their favorite teacher was, and many will say Kelly Chapman!  Kelly taught at Stratford Landing Elementary for 12 years, after teaching a year just outside Richmond, VA.  Always perfectly presented, usually in Lily Pulitzer, a beautiful scarf or her signature monogram, Kelly was as bright and cheerful as her outfits.  Kelly often put in extra hours at school- writing dry-erase messages on students' desks, creating the perfect classroom library, mentoring young teachers, leading demonstrations on Project Based Learning or helping at Spring Fling or Multicultural Night.  She was often a leader in her profession, a touchstone for former students and was the queen of the morning hug.  Creative, loving and inspiring, Kelly will be missed by teachers, administrators, students, parents and the community that surrounds the school.  
Money raised through this site will go towards a Kelly Chapman Memorial Library Fund and books and library materials will be labeled and donated in her name to the Stratford Landing Elementary School library.  As books and items are purchased, we will update this site.
