Stand by Maria and Olcan

Anyone who knew Kevin, can tell you a story about how he was always there when you needed him. That was who Kevin was. At his very core, Kevin was always there to provide support and help to others in every way possible. Whether it was offering a drink to someone who had a rough day, helping friends with house projects, providing a shoulder to lean on during dark times, or celebrating life's greatest moments, Kevin was there with a smile on his face.

As the patriarch of his family, his house was the center where everyone would meet. Despite the distance between Kevin and his 4 younger siblings, they were all extremely close. Anytime someone needed Kevin, he was a phone call away and would drop everything he is doing to be there for one of his siblings.

Kevin's love of family stretched across the Atlantic to Ireland. Ireland became a home away from home as Kevin, Maria, and their son Olcan spent many Christmases and holidays there. Kevin's fun loving personality and zest for life made it easy to assimilate into Maria's family and the Irish culture.

On many Sundays, you could find Kevin jamming away with his fellow Irishmen at a local bar. His love for music didn't stop there. Every summer, Kevin would spend the weekend in Schwenksville at the Philadelphia Folk Festival. He loved soaking up the music and being outdoors with his friends.

His love of the outdoors was passed down from his father. Years spent at the family cabin were seen as a time to reflect and build relationships. Kevin has continued that tradition by inviting many friends, family, and fraternity brothers to the cabin. Annually, Kevin would invite undergraduate and alumni fraternity brothers to spend the weekend reconnecting and deepening the bonds of brotherhood.

Regardless of where and how frequently you interacted with Kevin, his heart of gold always shone through. His never-ending love of learning about people or life has touched many lives.

We all  want to ease the financial burden that comes with losing someone so suddenly. This memorial fund will help to take care of Maria and Olcan and perhaps help establish a small nest egg for their future.

Any donation, no matter how small is greatly appreciated. Although broken, we thank you with all of our hearts.
