230lbs to Duathlon Team USA
My husband and I will benefit from this campaign by having the funds to go to Duathlon World Championships for TEAM USA in Penticton, Canada to compete for GOLD on August 19, 2017. I qualified as the Silver medalist on November 6, 2016 at a Pre-Qualifier competing in New Orleans, LA. This is such an honor and privilege to race at this level. This is a dream come true for me to make Team USA.
The funds will be used for my racing kit which costs $300. Airfare which will cost $2,600 minimum for my husband and I to travel. Hotel accommodations are $1500 for me to stay there the week of the race. In order to acclimate to the elevation prior to the race i need to arrive 6 days early. The food budget is over $350 due to the neseccecity to eat clean and high calorie intake. I will prepare my own food in the hotel. Shipping for my equipment and bike to and from the race is going to cost about $400 or more. Rental car which will cost a few hundred dollars or more. I am paying a Coach as well to Coach me to World Championships! It would be appreciated to have support for my racing nutrition which isn't cheap at all. UCAN is the only product I can consume because of my food allergies and works very well for my racing and digestive system. The funds will be needed by August 1, 2017. We appreciate your partnering with me so that we can show our patriotism and love of the USA by competing on a World Championship level.
The support that I will be given will mean everything to me and to represent the USA in a World Championship race is an honor I could never have dreamed of. I have went from 230lbs, prediabetic, high cholesterol to a World Championship athlete and 130LBS and my whole life and lifestyle has changed. I want to inspire others to work hard and show them it pays off. I have become a fitness professional myself now because of how my life has changed and I love to see others grow! This trip is a realization of all the hard work I have put in the last 8 years. This has blown my mind to make Team USA even though it has been a goal. The reality of it all fills me with joy and makes me want to work harder to make everyone proud. My husband has supported me 100% the last 8 years. He is thoroughly excited and wants this for me as much as I want it for myself. Yes my goal is to go represent the USA and get gold in my Age Group! I have worked hard professionally and personally. Now that my dream has come true I am truly humbled and honored to even race at this level. The timing of making Team USA is perfect!
We can plan and prepare but never know when GOD's timing is! I moved to the Tampa area from Daytona Beach 8 weeks ago. Currently, I am working at the NEw Tampa YMCA as a Masters Swim Coach (which I never dreamed of), Personal Trainer and a Triathlon Coach! I am starting a Traithlon Training Group at the YMCA! All of which I love doing! I knew 8 years ago I was to be helping people! GOD had to change me first so I could help others! I don't just do this for myself! I do this to inspire others who have no hope or have lost their motivation! I do it because of how my life has changed! Please help support me as I go represent our country in Duathlon World Championships on August 19, 2017!
