Mahalo a nui for all the comments and thoughts for "Uncle Willie K".
As most of you know, Willie was diagnosed with limited stage Small Cell Lung Cancer in January 2018. Due to metastasis, he is now classified Stage 4. He has completed chemotherapy and many sessions of radiation, and is currently undergoing immunotherapy which will continue for the rest of his life.
Willie, unlike many musicians, is a full time performer and owner of Maui Tribe Productions. Entertaining is Willie's only source of income. But due to his current condition, he is no longer able to perform as often as he used to. Therefore, this gofundme account has been set up to supplement the loss of income which is felt, not only by himself but also his family and band members.
Although Small Cell Lung Cancer is very aggressive, Willie continues to remain positive and optimistic about his condition and recovery. We appreciate anything you may offer whether financially or spiritually. Your prayers of strength and healing are greatly appreciated.
