My 16 yr old nephew, Darius Hall, was a victim of a vicious assault on August 21st. After the attack, which he was slammed to the ground on his neck, he was left lying on the ground unable to move his legs.
After arriving to the ER he was given a CAT scan and MRI. They took him into a 3 hr surgery to repair some of the damage to his spine. He will require at least one additional surgery to stabilize his neck. He has a severe injury to his spinal cord. He will be in the hospital for at least a week or two, then he will move to a rehab facility for a long recovery. At this time he has no feeling below his arms and limited feeling above. He is currently in the Neurology ICU receiving amazing care.
I know the financial burden has just begun. I'm asking for any help so my sister and her family can be by his side and not be overwhelmed with bills. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
