House fire at cricklade road

In the early hours of this morning we woke to a little shouting and then to "please someone help us, our house is on fire" These are words I will never forget as they came from an 8 year old boy who was stood with his 7 year old brother (the same age as my two boys) as their mum rescued their 8 month old sister and pet dog and their dad tried to put out the fire. Within minutes the fire had engulfed the whole house, but fortunately everyone made it out alive.
We took the boys in straight away ( as they are friends with our sons) and then mum, baby and dog.
Dad has been taken to southmead with servere burns to his hands and feet. Mum was taken to GWH for smoke inhalation and the children got taken too as a precaution.
We are looking after the family dog, shelby. She has settled down well and has finally fallen to sleep. We will be taking her to the vets tomorrow for a check up- she's been too stressed today.
In the meantime this lovely family have lost everything, their home is gutted and I can't even imagine where they have to start. Therefore I have set up this page for the amazing people of Swindon to donate what ever they can.
Our boys woke up during the commotion so we let them go and sit and watch cartoons with the two boys to help comfort them. I sat with them all, the boys are worried about where they will be living and if their x box is okay (normal worries of a 7 and 8 year old I'd say!)
I don't know what else to say....... This is a lovely family and I'm devested for them.
