Bring Papa Home

Donation protected

5 months ago we were just like any other run of the mill family, working hard to raise our kids and take care of our parents. Early February, 2015 our lives changed and changed forever. On Valentine's day, my husband left Seattle for India , leaving behind his 2 young boys 5 and 1 and has not returned after that emergency trip. I have been single parenting my young boys (with the help of a village) and working a full time job in the hopes of my husband returning home one day. I have run out of answers on when Daddy's coming home...Here's a picture of my little football fans.

My very active Father in Law, lovingly known as 'young man forever Papa', sole caretaker of his 90 year old mother and his wife complained about body ache in February. Within days, he could not even stand up and his body started swelling up. He was admitted to the ICU and, other than 2 weeks home where he appeared better, he has not quite left since.
This was him just an year ago:

He was first diagnosed with Vasculitis followed by a myriad of diagnosis and eventually ended up wtih a multi-drug resistant blood infection called Klebsiella that resulted in the removal of a kidney. All 3 of his sons abandoned their jobs and left their own children and families behind to care for their critically ill father, their old grandmother and uncosoleble mother.

This is him now with his devoted wife on the day of their 40th Wedding Anniversary:

The doctors in India have asked us to fly my father in law to the US for critical care since they are unable to treat him, this involves an airlift and treatment at a hospital ICU without US medical insurance. We have put everything on the line and funded a very expensive airlift for him to be transported to Mass General hospital in Boston, but we cannot survive funding 2-3 weeks of hospital care without insurance, which will be upwards of 300,000-400,000$.
Please find it in your hearts to save our young forever Papa who has a very special place in my heart. He loved me like his own child after my own mother died at 54.  I know he can fight this battle, he has been fighting for 6 months....he is not ready to give up and neither are we.

We are an ordinary family, hoping for a fairy tale ending. Please Help Bring Papa Home.
