Peter Munson Memorial Fund

Peter was an awesome father to Leah and Jonus, and great friend to us all.  He was a kind, interesting, smart and funny man. I respected him for his deep interests in so many fields.  Despite heavy work commitments, Pete always seemed to be willing to share his time and empathy with others.This fund is being established to contribute towards their education.

I went to law school with Peter back in New Hampshire from 1994-1997.  Pete lived in San Diego but was orignially a NY state guy, and it was fun to see the NY come out in him from time to time.  He and his wife Eileen were one of the few the other couples in law school, and got to know them pretty well.  Pete & Eilene's first born, Leah, was born during the last year of law school. Later, when we reconnected in San Diego, we went to each other's kids birthday parties and got together for dinner, sometimes as families, sometimes just going out, throughout the 2000s. 

Like so many of us at this stage of life, Peter was busy running around from one commitment to another.  I think many of us do this without really recognizing how important these moments really are.  At a minimum, this tragedy serves as a reminder to the rest of us as to how important it is to fully live in the moment.

Peter, you will be sorely missed.
