The You Can Be Anything Project, a 501(c)3 non-profit, has some big plans for the future, but we need your support to achieve our goals! Help us as we continue to create a positive platform for LGBTQ youth to realize their potential and achieve their career goals by funding our BE Campaign!
As we ramp up to the official launch date for our campaign, your donation will help to support:
- Creating & producing marketing / informational materials
- Updating our website and developing new, original content
- Event organization and attendance to further raise awareness for our campaign

To support LGBT and questioning youth in achieving their future career goals and aspirations, to help them to realize their potential and that they can indeed BE anything!
Confronting the Issues
Young people who are questioning their sexuality or have recently come to accept the fact they are lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender face some extreme challenges, both socially and professionally.
They may be rejected by their friends or worse – by their families.
They may be harassed and attacked at their educational institutions, preventing them from exploring their abilities and career aspirations.
They may not pursue future dreams and goals because of their sexuality.
Many LGBT and questioning youth do not know any people like themselves personally, let alone have a LGBTQ role model in their career field of interest. They may even have been told, directly or indirectly, that LGBT people can’t pursue certain career paths, such as police or firefighter, politics and government, or professional sports.
Our Goals
YCBA aims to tackle these challenges by:
- Providing examples of positive role models across a wide spectrum of careers and industries.
- Creating a partnership between educators and career role models to engage LGBTQ youth through seminars and workshops.
- Establishing a network of local YCBA Project allies and ambassadors that can apply our model in their own cities and towns, to further spread awareness about the limitless possibilities that LGBTQ youth have as they carve out a path for their future.
- Aiding in the financial and educational support of LGBTQ youth whose families have denied their individual value or abandoned them because of their sexuality.
