Housing 4 Cincy Trans Woman of Color

A 22-year old Cincinnati transgender woman of color is experiencing homelessness in Cincinnati after being fired from her job and rejected by many.
Because she is not looking to be a spokesperson or media figure and only reached out for help as a last resort, we are not identifying her. However, like so many transgender young people, she has been through a lot just to survive: Struggles with healthcare, public accomodations and general acceptance from family, friends and our community.
Working with partnering housing agencies, we are trying to raise $3,000 to pay for 6 months of housing and utility costs. Every penny raised will go directly to housing.
We are working with our LGBT police liason to find temporary housing and services until we can raise the money, but as soon as we can raise the $3,000, this young woman will not have to worry about where she will sleep and can focus on finding employment and leading a successful, fulfilled life.
The young woman is also actively seeking employment. She is interested in fashion and beauty. If you know of anyone who might offer employment, please email [email redacted]
