April's Military Care Package Drive

April Rose Rainbolt is Harrison County's Baby Miss Heart of the USA , a pageant system that is founded on giving back to the community through food/item drives and community service. For her coummunity service platform, April Rose would like to support Operation Shoebox.

Donating her time to bring awareness to the struggles of American servicemembers is important to April Rose because her father (Army), grandfather (Marines), and great-grandfather (Air Force) have all proudly served this country overseas.

When April Rose was born, her father was deployed in Afghanistan and much of his contact with her was through the pictures and items that were sent to him in carepackages. They met for the first time when April Rose was eight months old.

Operation Shoebox is a charitable organization that collects items to create carepackages for American military members who are stationed overseas. There are many soldiers who do not have any family or friends at home to send them morale-boosting carepackages and it is this void that Operation Shoebox aims to fill.

April Rose would like your help to brighten the day of as many servicemembers as possible. Your donation to this drive will go directly to Operation Shoebox and be used to purchase needed items to send overseas.
