Just about every site I find for women is either for fashion, or beauty. Nothing really for lifestyle, for learning, and motivating.
I started
Strangekitty in Jan 2012, and it's taken off quite well so far, and now I need to raise money for business costs so I can do this properly.
It was actually inspired by my disabled cat. Despite being physically impaired, he lives life to the fullest. Cheesy, I know. But he's actually compensated for his lack of physical strength with intelligence. It's amazing how he has come so far, despite his own body fighting against him.
So I thought, if a cat can be happy and smart, I can too, and I wanted to share this with everyone else!
The main cost is being able to produce better quality content - I'd really like to be able to do video interviews and tutorials with the inspiring women I find, and be able to pass on their advice and wisdom. So, I need to get a camera and proper sound equipment.
I think it'd really help, having video content that I could put on Youtube to reach an even bigger audience.
The other cost is hosting and advertising. At this point, I'm running out of free methods of advertising!
I can design and plan it all, but I can't afford to print and produce the awesome posters and stickers I want to be able to spread around the world, to bring in more people to inspire.
I would love to make it cool to be a smart, independent, talented woman again.
Eventually i'd love to be able to sponsor young women doing great things, too.
