Hello! My name is Tokyosexwhale. I'm a freelance animator and illustrator working out of a small studio in Norfolk, England. You can see examples of my work here: My Site
One of the most popular things I ever produced was a ‘Dark Knight Rises’ Illustrated Review: Read Here . I’m still getting emails asking me to review other movies or when the next is coming out.
Well, it seems Jurassic World is going to be one of the biggest movies of all time and I’m thinking about giving this celluloid juggernaut an illustrated review. (I’ve still to see it)
The trouble is, these reviews take A LOT of work. The Dark Knight review took three weeks solid work and when released it was getting roughly 100,000 views a day; which was GREAT! The trouble is I made NO money from this and I’ve been trying to think how I can give up my time and somehow monetize the process. So, I thought I’d try a crowd funding approach.
I work freelance, so to take three weeks out I have to somehow cover paying the rent/bills. That's where this comes in. My deadline for the review is 14-21 days after the cash goal has been reached. There will be regular updates and teasers and, if by some MASSIVE stretch of the imagination I should raise more than my goal, then that money will immediately go toward another review. (I would LOVE to keep churning these out and I’m sure that the more I do them, the quicker I’ll get).
So if you enjoy my work and would like to see another illustrated review please donate what you can. Any donations will be VERY much appreciated.
