Racine + Southern Dance Exchange is a Memphis-based professional modern dance company that promotes the creation and appreciation of innovative contemporary dance. RSDE continually strives to support the production of new choreographic work that represents the diverse and intricate cultural landscape of Memphis. Racine + Southern is dedicated to providing a platform for local accomplished choreographers, dancers, musicians, visual artists, and designers to collaborate.
On August 8th, 2015 Racine + Southern Dance Exchange will present "Passing," a full-length production, to Memphis audiences at the Buckman Theater. We are currently seeking financial sponsors for the professional dancers, sound technician, and lighting designer that have worked tirelessly for our non-profit organization.
August 8th's "Passing" will feature performances by our six resident professional company members as well as guest performances by five local dancers. The cost of sponsoring 11 professional dancers' performances in "Passing" is approximately $200 per performer. Funding for our resident sound technnician and guest lighting designer amounts to an additional $300.
RSDE continually strives to contribute to the great artistic reputation of the city of Memphis. All funds raised in this campaign will go directly to the local artists who perform for Racine + Southern Dance Exchange.
