Save Art Nouveau Café in Brixton

Art Nouveau Brixton is run by Beti.  She is a natural born community activist and wants to provide opportunities for people to be creative in the arts, use the space as a pop-up shop and has hosted many film and world super nights. 

Beti's generous community oriented approach unfortunately has led some people to think that the venue is a free community space, but this is a business!! 

We all know how difficult it is to make ends meet and run a small business. Beti has invested incredible amounts of time and given her heart to make this place work as a business while supporting the community.



Beti is also the proud mother of two sons, who she brings up on her own. 
Recently Beti had to fight to keep a roof over head.  This meant that Art Nouveau hasn't had the focus as a working business that it actually needs. 
The bailiffs have already arrived and Art Nouveau now needs your support.

This is a call out to anyone who believes in a space that benefits all of the community in Brixton.

Your contribution will be invested in making Art Nouveau a more viable business and pay for overdue bills: 

£1500 - Paying for outstanding bills (rent, business rates, utility)
£2000 - Purchasing the coffee maching (currently hired) 
£1000 - Soundproofing the downstairs space (to be able to run a broader variety of workshops) 
£500 - Investing in equipment (cash register, lighting)

Art Nouveau needs your support to stay open. If you are an artist and need a space to rent and display your work, or if you are looking for an affordable venue to hold regular meetings with your social group, or if you need somewhere to host a food/supper night Art Nouveau should be the first place you enquire at.
