The Women's Journey Foundation Free self-esteem program for girls help them to embrace their strengths, express their true feelings, learn to make positive choices and emerge a stronger person.
We invite guest speakers and female role models to address many of the issues young girls encounter from peer pressure to not measuring up in terms of looks, school and relationships. The following statistics indicate the challenges girls are facing today.
70% of girls have low self-esteem and most likely will turn to substance abuse.
1 in 4 girls will not finish high school
78% of girls are unhappy with their bodies and will have eating disorders
3 in 10 girls will become pregnant before the age of 20 years old
1 in 5 girls will be victims of childhood sexual abuse
Our FREE self-esteem program has helped young girls discover how they feel about their talents and abilities. They realize and appreciate their strengths and potential.
