Walk the Kingdom for Drug-free Kids

Donation protected
My name is Steve Cook. I am 63 years of age and a grandfather. On the 1st of May this year I embarked upon the challenge of a lifetime and began a 4000 mile walk of the coast of Britain.

So far I have walked almost a thousand miles, from my home town in Sussex, down to the coast, then along the coast of Sussex, Kent, Essex, suffolk, Norfolk, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire.

At this writing I am in County Durham, at a nice little seaside ton called Seaton Carew. In a few days I will reach Scotland. I fully intend to complete a full circuit of the British coast and am hoping to finish before Christmas.

This has been a  very tough. and gruelling task for a man my age, requiring me to walk about 20 miles day after day after day. This is not something I would put myself through if the purpose for which I am doing it were not extremely important and worth all the pain.

And that purpose is to raise funds and awareness for a campaign called Drug Free Kids. Drug Free Kids is an anti-drugs campaign to reach children with the truth about drugs BEFORE they run into the dealers and peer pressure that can entice so many into the drug experimentation and abuse that can lead to addiction and ruin their young Iives.

If we can arm them with knowledge and understanding we can stack the odds in. favour of their making  the right informed choices to remain drug free.

Fotunately there is an effective way to do this and it is laid out in the simple but powerful campaign of the hughly successful drug educator, former martial arts champion Peter Dwan.

I can think of nothing that would motivate me to go through the pain of walking 4000 mikes except this chance to safeguard the futures of our children and grandchildren.

You can find out all about my walk and even follow it through my daily updates at www.walkthekingdom.co.uk as well as getting thefull scoop on the Drug Free Kids campaign I am seeking to help.

If you agree with me that this issue of drugs and fire-proofing our children against their dangers is an important one requiring our full support, then please make a donation.

All donations are important. And they DO make a difference. You will see from the breakdown of costs involved in the Drug Free Kids campaign, every £10 donated helps at least 20 children to be reached with this vital drug education.
