First off, we would like to thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about us. We have both worked long and hard to earn the title of Doctor of Chiropractic. A combined 12,000 academic hours and many certifications and seminars under our belts have given us the tools we need to provide quality care to patients young and old alike. What we don't have are the immediate funds to start up our own clinic at this point in our lives.
Every person deserves to have the best healthcare around. We see the value in all kinds of healthcare, but have always held onto the idea it is best to take the least invasive approach to wellness.
Every chiropractic office requires certain equipment (tables, benches and physical therapy equipment, etc.). Luckily for us, we were able to save up some of our money and purchase as much as we could, keeping a close eye on Craigslist and the classifieds to search for the best deals possible. Along with all that equipment, we took advantage of weekend seminars to learn even more than what we could be taught in school and have "specialized" in many other additional techniques.
We have been blessed to have the support of our family during our educational endeavors. They have been behind us 110% whether they agreed with us or not. We have learned hard work, dedication and our core family values from them, which might be worth more than our Chiropractic Degrees combined. Our families, like most others, are struggling through this recession and are not able to provide all the start-up funding we need.
While we were in Chiropractic School, we were able to help with the free clinics for the needy throughout St. Louis. We saw, first-hand, how the patients who were self-medicating for different aches and pains experience how chiropractic can help without all the side effects and potential addiction to over the counter drugs and alcohol. Since we worked for the clinics that helped those people in need and saw how it helped them we became passionate about helping that segment of the population. Everyone deserves the best healthcare out there.
In our clinic, we will include in our bylaws to also provide free care for first responders and veterans. They have all given a part of themselves to all of us, so we feel like it is the least we can do to thank them.
Eventually, once the clinic has become successful enough to support us, our plans are to open a free clinic in an area that is an underserved part of Austin, TX. We would also like to expand this free clinic to include other types of healthcare providers.
We need your help. With crowd funding we hope to raise enough money to achieve this goal. Every little bit helps, please give what you can; we truly appreciate your support. And are thankful for your thoughts and prayers too.
