2014 WWII Veterans Dinner

For the last 6 months, we have dedicated ourselves to encouraging the heroes and veterans of WWII. We started a World War II veterans encouragement project called “Operation Meatball." In June we sang for vets in Normandy for the 70th of D-Day, in September we participated in the Honor Flight Program in D.C., where we helped welcome over 700 veterans to the WWII Memorial. We have been so inspired by our experiences that when we came home we determined to do something extra special for the World War II veterans living in South Texas.
Here is our plan: In December, we are hosting a special commemorative dinner for WWII veterans around the South Texas region. We are calling it the 2014 World War II Veterans Commemorative Dinner. We want to take them back to the 1940s home-front for an afternoon and evening. With vintage clothes, old-fashioned cars, great American family cooking, and classic 1940s music. The event will be hosted in a beautiful setting designed to remind them of the best days of their youth. We want them to feel very special.And we want them to know that their stories and the sacrifices they made 70 years ago are very important to my generation. To do this, we need your help. We need to raise $3200. This covers the cost of the location, dinner, the live 1940s music, and the old-fashioned USO style program.
