Wounded mother Of 4 out of work

Hello my name is Victoria..My fiance Shawn and I went to celebrate New Year's Eve in downtown Austin.  We were there literally 5 min when out of no where came a bullet falling from the sky. I had no idea I had even been hit until we started to walk away from the scene.Then realized I was bleeding from my upper thigh.Had I been slouched over I could've been hit in the head or face. We were innocently sitting on a bench having a conversation about our plans for the evening when all of a sudden we heard a loud bang.Shawn and I looked at each other in shock and said what was that. The thing is we have never been downtown to celebrate and were excited to be there. I cannot understand why "Me"? Why that night, who was it where did it come from. All these unanswered questions, left in pain to deal with.... Scared !!!!now have to be out of work for Lord only knows how long. The awareness of guns us unreal..Guns are to protect !!!not for innocent  to be hurt.!!! I have received medical bills that my insurance will not cover and am not finisned.Still have to see a surgeon.. Thank you in advance
