Howdy folks! Since I'm the resident expert on the only movie ever shot entirely on the front lines of the Korean War in 1953, the only war movie shot in 3D, with NO actors but all front line soldiers pulled to make the movie, I have been invited to Burbank to host the viewing during the Burbank 3D festival!


They are paying for 1 night in a hotel plus $200 toward my round trip ticket, but tickets are running over $300, and THAT doesn't include all the new fees that airports are adding so quickly they don't even bother to list them anymore, just a warning that there will be "extra fees." So at least an additional $200 is necessary for the plane ticket.


But wait! There's more!


Given my efforts to get this made into a documentary and an independent film, and the fact that the presentation is late in the evening, I figured I would stay 4 nights, coming in on Sept 12 (10th if I get enough for the extra time so I can attend 9/11 ceremonies) and leaving on Sept 17th. So I'm looking to cover the additional 4 nights as well.


I do not have time to learn bus schedules or driving in traffic, so I will be also using a lot of Taxis to get me to appointments I'm making before I even land. This is a WORKING trip, and I have to stuff A LOT into 5 days, so this is a necessity.


And finally, I need food and some extra funds for all the "just in case" stuff that ALWAYS seems to come up.


BONUS!! I have things down to the dime, but if I can raise the entire $5000, this will enable me to get a new laptop. My laptop and back up laptop were recently corrupted and will not start...I have no funds for a new laptop or to fix the other two. Raising the full amount will enable me to get a new one (sales on new laptops from early in the year are starting in time for school!) AND possibly fix the other two, which have important stuff on them.


OK all you fans who are always saying you "want to help," here's your chance to NOT play the hypocrite! I cannot attend if I don't get enough funds, so I am totally dependent on all of you helping me accomplish this important task. Events like this are critical for my profile, so PLEASE help me get to Burbank!
