Rory Andrew's Medical Fund

Katie was recommended to have an emergency c-section a little past 30 weeks pregnant when they found that Rory's heart had gone into SVT (supraventricular tachycardia) which means his heart has episodes where it beats incredibly fast--his was up to 260-270 beats per minute.

Since a prolonged SVT would cause his heart to fail, they decided to deliver. He was born 10 weeks early with SVT and hydrops fetalis. Hydrops Fetalis is an excess fluid up that usually causes death to babies before or after birth, especially babies born early or with health issues. Hydrops can also lead to brain damage.

Rory is in the good hands of the staff at Texas Children's Hospital (Medical Center). Katie and Rory Dale (dad) travel to the hospital every day while taking care of their 2 year old, Elizabeth. The doctors in the NICU are working hard to stabilize his heart . Once they do, they are confident that Rory can live a normal life with medication thru his young life or a heart procedure.

All donations will go toward Rory's medical bills, and travel and parking for  parents to visit him. His current estimation of stay is 2 months.  Any money left over will
go toward medications/doctor visits/heart procedures down the road.
