My dog Cyrus has been diagnosed with cancer. He has a large mass called a carcinoma in his lung. Cyrus is the mascot at Dreadlocks for Dingoes grooming salon and my sidekick for 10 years. He is a gentle soul and truly a dog, dog whisperer. Cyrus has made 1000's of client's pets feel comfortable when they come for grooming.
Cyrus has been the one constant for me; he has stuck by me in some of the hardest times of my life. My decision to seek treatment has not been an easy one. He has always been a healthy guy and it is my understanding that this surgery to remove the mass, although a difficult one, can extend his life at least a year, perhaps even longer. Now, I know that may not sound like a long time to many, but to me and Cyrus.....it's a whole next step in our life of bonding. I need to know that I did everything I could to help him in his time of need, just like he did for me. He was there for me, no judging, no criticism, just love. I'm going to do the same for him.
My whole life has been geared towards taking care of everyone's animals, he understands that and witnesses it every day at work and now, for the first time, we’re asking for your help. Cyrus' surgery, if I can raise the money, will cost around $ 7500, give or take, and unfortunately, time is of the essence. If I can't raise the money, I'll make his last few days or weeks (depending on how he's feeling) the best I can. He is by far the most wonderful dog, as can be attested by many of you.
Please share this with others and please, please if there's anything you can do to help, we will be forever indebted.
