Wilderness & Disaster Medicine Training

Spende geschützt

Now more than ever; with the recent severe weather and natural (& man-made) disasters, people are starting to realize just how unprepared they are for such emergencies.

We here at the Center for Wilderness Safety are raising $20,000 to put toward new training & medical supplies in order to create a new disaster preparedness program which will not only help spread the word about disaster preparedness and the need to be prepared for a disaster, but will also help to provide financial aid to those otherwise unable to afford training like CPR, First Aid, and Disaster Preparedness.

Every person who takes a Disaster Preparedness course will receive a fully-stocked "go-bag" which will have all of the necessities to survive without food, water, warmth, and power; for at least 72 hours.

All of the money we raise will go to disaster preparedness education, building teaching & first aid supplies, and making the"Go-Bag" kits which will include:
  • Water (a three-day supply; for drinking and sanitation)
  • Food (a three-day supply of non-perishable food)
  • Battery-Powered (or hand crank) Radio
  • LED Flashlight
  • Extra Batteries
  • First Aid Kit
  • Whistle
  • Dust Mask
  • Plastic Sheeting
  • Duct Tape
  • Moist Towelettes,
  • Garbage Bags
  • Plastic Ties
  • Multi-Tool
  • Manual Can Opener
  • Emergency Space Blanket
  • Glow Sticks
  • Plastic Poncho

Please consider making a donation and help us in our mission to make our communities, friends, and neighbors better prepared.
