West Nepal Relief Fund
Donation protected
This fund was set up to help those in rural Nepal (Gorkha & surrounding areas) who have been devastated by the earthquake but as of yet have had no relief. 90% of houses have been destroyed and many people have been killed and injured including my friends and relatives.
Nepal is my second mother land and Kathmandu is like my heart, who raise me from very young till I meet my wife Carol. However I was born on the border of Nepal in India side, but my heart and blood is Nepali. I live in Kathmandu and earn my living in the hardest time of my life, in Thamil and Balaju. Now all those buildings have collapsed some of the hotels and houses and people had great influence in my life in a positive way. In Pokhara still some friends are calling for help. Mainly in Gorkha which is a very remote part of Nepal and Lamzung are very badly affected and people have no help yet. I am in contact with my friends and cousins there, but many people still have no way to contact.
I know Kathmandu is also badly damage and many people including my friend’s family lost their life. But in Kathmandu there is help already there and relief camp is set up by many charity organisitions and red cross etc.
My heart is in pain to hear the voice of my friend, he told me they really need help in village areas mainly he told me that. One of my cousins’s lost his baby, his wife lost her hand and parents are in hospital. It’s too painful even listening to them. 90% of houses in Gorkha have been totally destroyed and people there have no insurance there like we have here.
I didn’t know how I could help, so I decided to set up this Go Fund Me donation page, we can at least send something. This donation will go directly to the West Nepal Development Trust in Pokhara to help in remote part of Himalayas, and Gorkha region. This Trust is run by my friend Gopal Prasad Bhusal who is currently working there to help the people (you can find the Trust on Facebook and there is a phone number to find out more). Whatever you can give, however small it will all add up and make a difference, at least for some temporary support for these people in desperate need.
Thank You.
