Ben's Medical Expenses

Our names are Richard and Isis Ramsey and we have two children Desiree, who is 14, and Ben, that will soon be 8. We live in a small town in Eastern Kentucky that we love. I am doing this for the mounting expenses that are coming in for our son's medical treatment.
My son Ben, has Drug Resistant Epilepsy and we are in the testing phase for surgery at Cincinnati Children's Hosptal. It is one of the hardest decisions we have ever had to make. We have been reassured that he will do fine and I have complete faith in the doctors and specialists at CCH but it is still hard not to be worried when they are talking about removing a part of your child's brain. We just want to give Ben a chance at a normal life. He loves basketball and his doctors will not release him to play for the school until he is seizure free for an extended period of time. We would love to see him get to do the things that the other children get to do without the limitations that the doctors put on him.
I am not one to ask for help but with all of the medical bills coming in and the frequent trips to Cincinnati we are starting to feel the strains from these expenses. I am asking for the money to help with these expenses and to help us through the surgery. It will also help us with the time away from work that we will be taking. Our jobs have been incredibly generous and helpful and we are lucky to have these people in our lives.
We are so thankful for our friends and family that have supported us so far and we know that we still have a long road ahead. If you can find it in your hearts to give thank you but even if you can't we thank you for looking at this.
