Okay, here's the deal: I'm homeless.

Up until recently I was living with my mother and her friend in his house before things took a turn. His unhealthy drug habit and inability to control his emotions resulted in a violent attack on my mother while I was away at work. She was left bruised and battered and ultimately homeless. Sure enough, my mother reported the incident and the man landed in a jail for a few nights.

However, the story remains that now we are both without a place to stay. We have been hopping from hotel to hotel,  motel to motel, without a stable place to land. I have been relying on friends and my previous paychecks for support, but that is no longer sufficient to keep going. I have no food, no place to sleep and my next paycheck won't be for another two weeks.

I have exhausted every last resource I can imagine before coming on here. Now I am asking for some help and hoping somebody out there can be the one to help me.

Please chip in any thing you can -- even a quarter.  And if you can't, please just share this with everyone you know. My well-being (and my mother's) depends on it.
