Dynamic Dance Trio
Three KW-area dancers from Waterloo’s Star Performance Academy have been selected to represent Canada as part of the national dance team competing in Braga, Portugal at the Dance World Cup Finals in Europe.
About the girls
Addison Bechthold (age 10 - Waterloo), Rachel Dyck (age 8 - Conestogo), Rebecca Faerman (age 9 - Waterloo) will perform in Portugal as members of the World Performers Canada national dance team. The girls were selected during an audition process and have been practicing with their dance counterparts in Toronto throughout the year. “We’re really excited to be part of the team and thrilled to represent Canada,” said the girls.
About Dance World Cup
The Dance World Cup (Europe) competition will be held in Braga, Portugal from June 28 to July 8, 2019 and include over 6,000 dancers from over 50 countries. World Performers Canada offers exciting cultural experiences while abroad and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for dancers to compete on the world stage.
How you can help!
The girls are looking for donations to help with the training and travel costs to Portugal, estimated at $24,000 for the three girls and their chaperones, and welcome contributions!
