Jacob Wants A Library for Bullard, Tx
For the better part of a decade, long before I had any kids of my own, I would often drive by my hometown library and look at the state it was in. I found myself wondering how it stayed open let alone how was it still standing. The thing was a mess, I guess someone else thought the same thing and a new building fund was started, but It never seemed to grow. I felt sad and thought surely the city or someone would help, but to my knowledge any cry for help was never heard, I guess the daily passing eventually made me numb and blind to the continued decaying state of the building, and it wasn't long before I no longer noticed.
So what reopened my eyes? My son Jacob did, one day we were next door to the library geting some donuts and he noticed the walls, and with the excitement that only a child can have, he yells "Daddy we have to save the library!".
Rarely have I seen him this passionate about anything and I knew that this was something that mattered to him, and if it matters to my child surely it matters to the thousands of patrons of the library. So ,at his request, we are trying to help, and we are asking for your help as well. Please consider donating to help not only Jacob's generation but ones to come. If you are not able to donate then please share this with others.
