Boy Scout Troop 1109

Boy Scout Troop 1109, chartered by Kiwanis of Cumming, is South Forsyth's newest Boy Scout Troop. South Forsyth County, part of the Northeast GA Council, has experienced  phenomenal growth -with 1 in every 4 boys in elementary school taking part in the program.  Committee Chair for the Troop, Alexandra Gubbins said "there has been an incredible need for additional troops in the southern part of the county for the past few years. We are so happy that Kiwanis of Cumming was able to help us establish this Troop."  

Having just formed in February, the Troop of 18 boys-ages 10 to 16 have already earned a total of 27 merit badges and will be attending summer camp in the North GA mountains. We desperately need camping equipment and already had our first fundraiser - a car wash.  If you would like to help this new Troop with some of their camping and scouting equipment, please donate.  We are grateful for your support!
