Fly High Jaylynn

My name is Ciera Adamson and I'm 22 years old from Marion, Ohio. Let's just say I've had my fair share of obstacles throughout life so far.  For starters, my mom left me behind with my grandparents at a year old, my dad has never been in the picture, and I lost my very best friend in high school from a blood clot (kind've a freak accident).. But I've never let life get me down. In fact, the past few years have been great. I married my best friend in November of 2013, shortly after having our first child, Jaylynn Elizabeth Kay Adamson (8/13/13). My whole life changed from the moment I held her tiny body in my arms. From that day forward I vowed to be the mom that mine never was and I'll be the very first to say there truly is no love that amounts to a mothers love for her child. In late 2014, I found out I was pregnant again with our second child. I still remember the day we found out we were having a boy like it was yesterday. Everything seemed perfect.. Yes, we struggle with money; we had to move back into my grandparents after I lost my job due to ankle injuries, we have one car that hardly gets us around, but we have an immense amount of love and happiness, something I always longed for as a child.

Well on Friday, May 29, 2015 my whole world came crashing down. I was induced at Marion General Hospital around 9 a.m. for our new bundle of joy. We were so excited as all our relatives stood by our side. But that feeling didn't last long. Around 9:10 I got a call from my two of my family members that my daughter could not be found. As they called 911, they began to search the property. Now Jaylynn has always been adventurous and on the go and after noticing the screen door didn't get closed all the way, they had assumed she had to have been somewhere outside. As I laid in the hospital bed, worried and helpless, my cousin and grandfather searched the property numerous times. Jaylynn was no where to be found. It wasn't until the third time they looked by the pond, they found Jaylynn. My cousin, without hesitation, jumped in after her and began CPR until the paramedics arrived. When the paramedics arrived they continued to revive her, but it was too late, by 10 a.m. Jaylynn was pronounced dead in the ER at the same hospital I was in.  There is never a good time to lose a child, but while you're in labor.. Well I'm not sure how God planned that one. One of the happiest days of my life turned into a nightmare. Although with family and friends surrounding us as we grieved, I was still able to deliver a healthy baby boy early that evening at 4:09 p.m. - Zander Eugene Adamson. You might ask how I did it, I still don't know, but I'm here and I have to keep fighting for my new angel above, my husband, and my son.

With the that being said, I cannot thank my friends, family, doctors, community members, and even strangers for all the support and love you have given us during this difficult time. The money we are hoping to raise will help us pay for Jaylynn's funeral expenses and hopefully some of Zander's future expenses until we can get back onto our feet and begin living a "normal" life.
