Help Save Lynn's Life with Lamictal

My name is Lynn, and I need your help. This is  the first time I have ever asked, and it is hard for me.  I have always tried to help myself, and now I need my friends and acquaintances.

I have been diagnosed with temporal lobe seizures. Previously, my Service Dog, JackThunderbear helped me by acting as my protection and guardian.  I don't have Jack any more, and I require a brand name medication, Lamictal, that my insurance doesn't cover.

This medication can have a very serious side effect--some forumulations cause Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) which are rare types of rashes that can be fatal. They can cause large sections of the skin to die, which can lead to disfigurement or dangerous infections.

When I started on the generic formulation of this medication, this rash began to appear. My doctor and I caught it in time.  He did a test and discovered that I can take the brand name version, which is produced by GSK Pharmaceuticals.

If I can pay for $600 worth of this medication, then GSK Patient Assistance Program will provide brand name Lamictal for me for the rest of the year.  This will give me the time I need to save up and help myself, for next year's charges. This way, I won't need to come with "hat in hand" again.

How much will this $600 cover?  The cost for a 30 day supply is $555.61.

I need to try to raise this money as soon as possible, because my need for the medication is urgent.  I cannot take the cheaper generic alternative, due to the life-threatening rash, and my insurance won't cover the brand name.
