V.P.A.C. introduces ICON DANCE

ICON Dance ‌ is the dance division of  

Visions Performing Arts Company ‌, a non-profit based out of Denver, Colorado dedicated to preserving African American Performing Arts.  With 60 dedicated young dancers dedicated to dance, we are currently practicing in A-1 Boxing.  We are adding dancers by the week and are in need of a larger space we can call ours.  We also need to design our studio space with mirrors, dance floors, bars, and proper equipment.  

We are seeking your support by committing to our GoFundMe online campaign that will launch July 1, 2015.  We are seeking to raise a total of $100,000.00. These young dancers have been diligent for a year or more to this team and we have developed with the support of parents and the community.  Dr. Ladi and Ms Toni for the past year and a half have volunteered to the discipline these dancers have had and they have grown and they are dedicated to being able to continue to bring these dancers to meet their dance goals.  

Below is a detailed estimated list of the needs that ICON needs to open its doors for young dancers to execute dance.

*There will also be monthly expenses like utilities, towels, laundry, and refreshments.  All dancers are required to pay a monthly fee of $50 per month and this will cover those costs.  

ICON is unique because for $50 a month a dancer will be a part of a team and will practice up to four times a week for 2 hours.  This literally comes to $1.50 a class for the dancers.   ICON is dedicated to keeping these prices affordable for the dancer because we are aware that dance is expensive and we don’t want to have dancers limited because of affordability.
