Ariels Angels

Ariel was a normal happy little girl. Always smiling and always full of energy trying to keep up with her younger brother Slayde. That was until recent months when something changed. Her appetite dropped and her energy level came to a stand still. She stopped eating and was exhausted all the time. Knowing something wasn't right her mother Julia took her to the doctor. Ariel's red blood cells weren't reproducing as they should. They ran tests but came up with no answers. Sent home without a diagnosis the doctor warned her mother to keep an eye on the symptoms for any changes until she could see a specialist and if they did she should bring her back in for further testing or to a local hospital. Unfortunately they did and her symptoms took a dramatic turn for the worse. On May 25, 2015 Ariel began running a fever and started throwing up. Taking the doctor's advice Julia took Ariel to the emergency room only to find out that Ariel's red blood cell levels had decreased to a dangerous minimum. Ariel was then rushed to Children's Medical Center where she underwent 2 emergency blood transfusions, a slew of blood tests and a bone marrow biopsy to hopefully find this little family some answers. Being a single mother and raising Ariel and Slayde on her own Julia has missed out on work due to these awful circumstances and as of right now there appears to be no relief in sight.
