NYPD POMalerie Treuman relief fund

On June 24, 2014 PO Malerie Treuman  was on her way home from work, when her vehicle was struck in the 67 precinct. The other driver fled on foot leaving her for dead. The only reason PO Treuman is alive today is because a 70 pct unit driving back from CRV got this job as pick up and rushed EMS to the scene. Malerie was listed in likely to die condition with massive internal bleeding , a ruptured bladder and completely shattered pelvis and hips. Doctors at Cornell said the worst they have ever seen. Malerie is lucky to be alive . One year later Malerie is still in recovery and has permanent nerve damage in her leg and foot where she may not be able to return to work as a full duty member of service. During Maleries 10 year career with the NYPD, she has worked the mean streets of Brooklyn north first in 73 pct and ending up in the 81 pct. Malerie was always very active and loved being on the streets with over 300 arrests under her belt. Our friend and sister need our help her medical bills are overwhelming (over $500,000) and insurance can only do so much since this was not a Line Of Duty injury. Please dig deep and help with anything that you can. Malerie is in such good spirits and hopes to return to work on the NYPD and continue to do what she has always loved to do.
