Vet bills for Daniel

Daniel has hurt his leg and needs our help to get him on the mend

For those of you who haven’t met this loyal FRIEND Daniel is one of our rescue dogs. He was very close to Marion who founded the sanctuary nearly 30 years ago and has been at FRIEND longer than any of the humans currently living and working here now. Daniel is very much loved by everyone at FRIEND and everyone who visits, he grieved deeply for Marion when she passed.

If you have seen him recently you will have noticed him limping quite heavily. After an x-ray it became clear he has extensive damage to a ligament in his back right leg (we literally have no idea how he managed to do this), he is in pain. The cost of the x-ray was £500 and the estimated cost of surgery is a gigantic £2000! Please can you help? Any amount towards these fees will help us tremendously to help him and no amount is too large or too small! Here at FRIEND we have spent over £6000 in the last 12 months on vet bills alone and cannot do it without you!
