My name is Wendy and I am a Canadian living in Nepal trying to get home to Canada safely with my Nepali husband Buddhi Sagar. We have planned to carry on our efforts with a major Fundraising Tour for Nepal ...
Vive Nepal!
The money raised here on "go fund me" will go towards getting us home safely to family and friends and supporting running costs of the Tour. Once home with your help, all proceeds we raise from the tour will go thru our home site and back to Nepal to trusted, transparent organizations we are supporting such as Waves for Water http://www.wavesforwater.org/

We distribute portable water filters worldwide through ongoing PROJECTS and our volunteer program, CLEAN WATER COURIERS. We've managed to distribute over 100,000 filters in dozens of countries around the world impacting more than 1.4 million lives.

We hope to reach home to Canada by June 11th for the "Vive Nepal Benefit Concert" as a kick off. Where we will unite once again with an amazing Canadian couple we met here in Nepal.
Both, along with their team have been the driving force promoting and organizing where we simply could not. With their own personal story having just been here, we can not thank them enough! We are ready to inspire Canadians to " Vive Nepal" and continue their efforts of support.

My husband Buddhi Sagar is a Paragliding Pilot in the town of Pokhara where we live -normally very active- has become void of tourists. The office in which Buddhi Sagar works is operational, however mainly shut down; much like many local Adventure Tourist Companies,
Although we have endured both of the two massive Earthquakes and countless aftershocks we remain housed (visable cracks) and unharmed, however traumatized- only a portion of what these people surrounding us are suffering. We are compelled to move forward.
Together, we have been working behind the scences within hours (and non stop since) the Big Quake that shook this wee Nation on April 25th.
We were able to utilize our operating resources -mobiles, land line,internet and social media for immediate response, bridging the gap between people both domestic and International.
As a result, while the rest of the World were awakening to the News of a massive Earthquake in Nepal and the distruction and devastation it caused (to which the scope will be difficult to determine long term ) the internet connection continued from the moment it struck to provide us with a invaluable gateway.....and there we continued to work in cooperation with YachtAid Global guiding and arming us with paramount knowledge to continue our efforts-hence becoming YAG's on the ground Nepal Ambassador.
However difficult it has been AND will be to take leave from Nepal...and our home.... my husband will also be traveling for the first time to my home land and a new culture...all the while conerned about his own family that will remain throughout the monsson.
But we do so with the greatest of intentions and are inspired to continue on our path for the people of Nepal. Because this IS something that we CAN do for them with them, united! Vive Nepal!
