Music and Memory at The Argyle

Donation protected
The Regis Accelerated Nursing Class of 2016 is working on a fundraiser for an amazing program called Music and Memory at The Argyle. The Argyle offers affordable senior living, and has been apart of the Denver community since 1874. As a non-profit organization, The Argyle is dedicated to serving the community through the provision of affordable, high-quality assisted living accommodations and services to low- and moderate-income residents. We as Regis students have been able to complete service learning at The Argyle and witness the home like environment, and amazing care the staff provides to its residents. The Argyle just became one of eleven communities in the state of Colorado to become certified in Music and Memory. We as Regis students have been lucky to participate in this program where residents listen to personalized music playlists, created with input from residents themselves, alongside family, friends, staff, and volunteers. These playlists are brought to each resident by iPods provided by The Argyle. The music is transformative, therapeutic, and improves the residents overall health, happiness, and well-being. Music is especially powerful for those struggling with Alzheimer's, and dementia. It is considered one of the best therapies to those suffering with dementia, depression, loneliness, and it can relieve boredom, empower choice, and enable memory.

We are asking for your help! We want all 140 residents at The Argyle to have their own iPod shuffle, and playlist of music. Please help us by making a cash donation to this GoFundMe campaign, or mail old iPods and iTunes gift cards directly to The Argyle. Lets get Music and Memory up and running at The Argyle!
