Chris Velasquez Help Fund

 My name is George Carney,   HB JV Boys soccer coach. Chris Velasquez is a Junior at Hampton Bays High School, he played for me in his freshman and sophomore years. A very quiet, respectful and humbled kid. One of my 3 captains I choose every year. 
 Within these passed 3 days, Chris' world was turned upside down. Originally from South America, Chris and his mom became part of the Hampton Bays community family many years ago. Chris and his mother were very close, relying on and being each other's support. No father here, no siblings and only a few cousins and an aunt. His mom struggling everyday to make the best for her young son. Learning to be each other's world and loving endlessly in a foreign land.  
       Well a couple days ago, Chris' mom was taken from him in a tragic accident while simply going food shopping. Devastating to say the least. Leaving him with decisions and choices no young child should have to make for anyone, let alone a parent(life support, organ donation, etc). HES ONLY 17!  No one deserves this, yet he has to face this adversity head on and grow up faster than he should have to. Choices and decisions to be made that not even mature adults can endure.
       I know Chris' pain will be everlasting and may never subside, but the thought of him having to worry about HOW he's going to bury his beloved mother or HOW he's going to live everyday, pains me to no end. Being a father myself, I could not imagine my boys having to deal with something like this TOGETHER, let alone having to do it ALONE.  JUST LIKE CHRIS HAS TO!
      I'm asking for ANY help whatsoever, anything that will help alleviate some of his worry and pain.  All proceeds will go DIRECTLY to Chris. Dig into your hearts please and then into your pockets. This kid needs OUR help.
