Help for Ms. Alma!

Alma Silva has served the Mills Elementary community for many years, and countless families have been positively impacted by her commitment to our children.

Alma's husband, Juan, has been fighting pancreatic cancer for almost a year now. After going to many doctors trying to figure out what was wrong, they discovered this terrible news. Juan has undergone many treatments over the course of the year and although he continues to fight hard, this terrible disease remains. Alma is no longer able to continue working under these conditions. As hard as she has tried over the course of the year to maintain income and also be the main caregiver to Juan, it has become necessary for her to take unpaid leave. She is struggling with mounting bills, paperwork and trying to maintain some sort of life for their two boys, age 13 and 11.


This has been organized by the people who work with and have been served by Ms. Alma at Mills and MASCOT as a way to provide some sort of relief for the Silva family.
Alma has been extremely strong throughout this process and with these donations, we are hoping to offset some of the financial burden of loss of income and medical bills.
If you are unable to donate, lots of prayers and well wishes are also needed.
