Friend In Need of a Van

My wife, Kristy, and I have a neighbor/friend with many needs. Many of them can not be met from raising money but one immediate need can be - this friend/neighbor needs a van.  

Here's the thing about this gofund me page...the story is essential to explaining the need and raising the money. What if the story, at least the details, can't be told?  If I could tell her story your heart would break for her and her kids like ours has, as they have become very special parts of our lives.  

The reason I can't tell her story is because of the very real danger that her and her kids are in.  This mom has put her life on the line to rescue her kids away from from a desperate and dangerous situation.  Preganant, with nothing but 2 suitcases of clothes for each of them when they fled, this mom is now creating a brand new life for herself and her kids. And she must do this with the threat of being found.  The police, the courts, and social services are all involved and all doing their best to protect them but it's still a looming possibility.  

Here's what I can share.  Inspite of all her experiences and current situation this mom is full of joy, hope, love for her kids and contentment in her situation.  If you talked with her you would have no idea all she has had to face.  

I know there are many who know her from our church or friends she has met along the way who are looking for opportunties to help her.  This is what she needs as soon as possible and I hope you can help us make this happen for her.  I am asking for $7,000 to buy her a 12 passenger van that is in excellent working condition. This would allow for all of them to travel together and have plenty of room for strollers, groceries etc. If someone has the van to donate then whatever we raise we'll give directly to her.
