Help Us Make Theatre Happen

Two theatre students have decided to take a chance and put up their own theatre and now they have found an eager group of companions to join them in their endeavor.  We have selected Christopher Durang's Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All For You (we understand you should italicize plays, but GoFundMe won't let me :/) You may have questions such as, "Where do I come in?" "What do they need money for?" and "Who is Christopher Durang?" Let us start by saying, you come in by helping us get the money together to make this a reality. You come in because you are  our audience. You are our friends, professors, and families that were there for us when we said, "Hey I like theatre. I'ma gonna do that." We want to showcase our work to you, and anyone else we can get to see it is a bonus. We are looking to fundraise enough money for paying royalties and space rental fees, purchasing minimal props/set pieces, advertising the production, and building a few costumes. Houston's very own Maddy Auchter will play the title role of Sister Mary Ignatius alongside Olivia Barton as Diane Symonds, a disgruntled former student. Ellie Sondock will play the role of Thomas, a seven-year old Catholic school boy and Catie Auchter will play the role of Philomena Rostovitch, an unwed mother. Kyle Legacion will play the role of Aloysius Benheim, an incontinent. Matthew Martinez will play the role of Gary Sullavan, a self-deprecating malcontent. The show will be directed by Brandon Engelskirchen and the dates for performance have been set for late July. We have a few different spaces up-for-grabs and the exact performing space will be announced soon.  If our fundraising is very successful, we will discuss a third show and a curtain warmer preceding the show.
