Sometimes we are so busy or even wanting to help but our finances do not allow us to contribute to othersin need. But remember these children do appreciate your thoughts of helping even if that is all we are able to provide them.

I know that someone else besides Charles Jones and the Harbins will help. Watch and see who the next person will be...it just may be YOU!

When a goal is listed does not mean that the goal will be realized, it means that hopefully enough people will care and sacrifice so that the goal can be possible.

The students of Bocto High School have dreams, but many will be forced to give up because some goals are not important over others. Personally education is the most important goal a person should have outside of family.

Dreams are precious to young students...but they can be destroyed when no one seems to care. Caring can be as easy as one can of soda funds donated to a worthy cause.

I visited Bocto High School in the Philippines where my mother-in-law is the principal during my trip in June 2012 visiting my wife's grave. During the visit I was allowed to give a seminar to the History students since I am certified in Secondary Education with a major in World History. It was great!!! Except for one thing..the computers they had are outdated by 10 years and they do not have the funds to repalce them. This is one of the poorer school systems in the Philippines.

My intent is to gain the needed funds to purchase new computers for the Computer Lab and help to provide meals to the poor students who come everyday even without eating just to better themselves. I am hoping others in the "Net" can empathize with my desire to go back and help these students. You really do not know how it makes an educator feel when a student sacrifices everything for an education.

PLEASE!!! Help these students to gain a decent education in the 20th Century instead of the old chalk and blackboard days.

We are thankful for being able to donate 2 laptops to help these children. We have none of our own, so this will make us feel in a way that we are at least foster parents helping our children learn through sharing.
