My name is Kyla Plaxton, owner and founder of Release Acupressure .
Ever since I was a little girl I've wanted to change the world. One of the ways I do this is through acupressure. One client at a time. It is like the butterfly effect, every little increment makes a huge difference in the trajectory of the future.
HERE'S WHAT I AM DOING NOW!
1) I am writing a book to support and educate our clients called "10 ways to release" This will be launched and available July.1st.
2) Creating a 1 year social media campaign that will support the spread of the book. Spreading as much hands on tools and inspiration as possible.
3) Booking Businesses for Drop in Neck & Shoulder Acupressure Releases. This gives people that stand or sit all day long a way to have long lasting and effective relief in releasing their neck and shoulders. This also connects us to potential long term clients so we can support them on their own personal healing journey.
4) Hiring a new acupressurist to deliver the neck and shoudler releases. Supporting and training them as they grow into a successful full time practioner.
5)Partnering with Amazing Teacher Adria Ellis, who is the founder and creator of fushion acupressure. We are creating educational online resources to support those in self care through using acupressure for themselves in their day to day lives.
WHAT DRIVES ME, MY STORY
When I was a little girl I watched my mom go through deep pain and healing as she took her father to court for childhood molestation he put her through. The term "from the crib" always stood out for me as words I heard and memory from my past. And when my foster grandma ( the woman who fostered my mother) said to me, "the hardest thing I ever heard coming out of your mother's mouth was when your mom said she would ask her friends what it was like to lose their virginity because she doesn't remember." Fires me up and shakes me to core to always keep moving forward. For healing and for peace. I was able to transform the impact that had rippled to me, as I was a very angry and resentful child and teenager. Through receiving acupressure and training in acupressure at the young age of 18 I faced myself and began my own journey of healing and thus have brought healing to my family. When I was 23 and I began my first business, Unwind and Come Alive, I was named fastest growing business on Vancouver Island by the British Columbia Acupressure Therapists Association in 2005. I stopped the business as I began my family. I launched Release Acupressure in January of 2014.
I don't do acupressure for only people who have suffered abuse although most people have in one form or another. One of the most basic and needed human neccessity is touch. Safe touch. Acupressure does this for many people. As we hold pressure point, client have the experience of being held in an evironment that is professional, yet caring. This deeply supports humans in a subtle and wholesome way.
WHY KEEP EXPANDING?
I have a vision that acupressure be a household name and utilized like doctors, chiropractors and naturopath just to name a few. I so I am taking the next steps in expanding my business. I am a single mom with two young children who need me as much as possible. They are in school and daycare during the day so I may work and take clients. I can not fullfill this mission alone as no successful person has ever done it alone.
HOW
How I am planning to implement all of this is through an online indepth and interactive system, that will help me:
Give gift and communicate easily for new and long term clients!
Extreme organization and a wealth of offerings to individual needs!
Endless opportunity for automated systems like scheduling and payments made so so easy for you!
I cannot reach the amount of people I want to reach with the current amount of time that I have, so automating a few key elements will make a Huge difference.
It will cost me $2000 to set it up and integrate it fully into the Release Acupressure website. Then will have a small fee of $269/m to manage it. There are no contracts.
Our system as it is is not sufficient for the rapid speed at which we are growing. Imagine taking the ocean in with one pipe.
