Trying to Get Back on The Road

On Feb 1st 2017 I had everyone's WORSE Nightmare come true when it comes to driving. I WAS HIT BY ANOTHER CAR while I was driving. AND THEY DON'T HAVE INSURANCE!!! I know you may read about stuff like this, but I'm actually living this as we speak. A lady ran a red light and smashed into the front of my car and come to find out, was driving someone else's car and wasn't insured. I have liabilty insurance and can not file a claim under my insurance as you would need full coverage. I know what you're gonna say (why not have full coverage), I would of , if it wasn't in the mid $200's a month. So basically for me, it's unaffordable like it would be for most people.

This car is my bread and butter and how I survive. I've had this car for LESS then 2 months. I never thought I would ever have to do something like this, but when something happens and basically stops you from being able to provide for yourself, it's a real humbling and scary realization. Especially being that you didn't cause this yourself, someone irresponsible took it upon their self to drive and not be properly insured like the rest of us. I'm just very thankful that I wasn't hurt and the lady wasn't hurt that bad.

Now from Tow fees and storage fees and to get my car back to normal, it's gonna run north of $5,000 and I have to pay this out of pocket because of the carelessness of another person. Times are hard like I'm sure they're for everyone else that basically works just to make it by. This is a VERY unforseen and unfortunate event for both parties. At first I was extremely angry, but I came to realize, it's just an ACCIDENT and we all make them. I'm sure she didn't choose to smash into my car that day,she just made a very irresponsible decision by not being insured. We all make mistakes, sometimes they're just costly.

I spoke to a body shop and they said to get it back to be able to run , it's gonna run from $1,500-$2,000. And that's just to get it to run so I can get back and forth to work and my daily errands. To get it back to stock "original" it's gonna be over $5,000. I'm just looking to get my car back in the road so I can pay my bills and survive. I can get it back to stock later, I just need my transportation running.

I would APPRECIATE anything you can help with. Even a $1 makes a difference. Like I said, this is Very Humbling and Hard to do.
