Family Tornado Rebuild - Baxter Springs

Hello Friends. My name is Chris Vogel, and on 4/27/14 a tornado ripped up the lives of 2 of my family from Baxter Springs, KS. My sister's house was severely damaged, and my Aunt's car and apartment destroyed.

My Sister Sally and her husband Dennis were home with the tornado hit. They barely made it to the basebefore before the tornado inflicted nearly $50,000 worth of damage. Some of her neighbors were less lucky... At least my sister has a house left to try to repair She had insurance, but the gap between what the insurance is paying and what she lost is at least $8000.

My Aunt Darla had to move out of her now condemned apartment after it took a direct hit and although she has found a place to stay, her vehicle is totaled. She had liability-only insurance on her car and now had to come up with some money to get a working vehicle again. $2000 will get us something drivable.
