My worst nightmare has always been fire and today it has come to reality with a devastating house fire that has left us. We are without even the basic neccessities.
The worst part of this is the fact that we lost our beloved cats and 3 parrots. My husband and I are passionate about Siamese cats and as a hobby had enjoyed showing and breeding them.
The fire took the lives of all of my cats, including two nursing mothers and their litter of kittens. We were able to rescue one kitten and our Doberman and Husky mix from the fire but the rest of the cats and our two macaws and African Grey parrot died in the blaze.
Our pets were our children and our whole life.
Through the generosity of friends, we have a place to lay our heads tonight, but we have to try to pick up the shattered pieces of our lives and move on. We rented the house and do not have renter's insurance nor any savings.
My husband had a major heart attack a year and a half ago at the age of 46 which left us with huge medical bills that sapped all our meager savings. Though we are both employed, we have no money to pick up and carry on.
Please, if you can find it in your hearts to help us, even a few dollars will add up. Any donation will be greatly appreciated and if you can't donate, please pray for us.
