Tiny Homes To Heal The World

Donation protected
Osiyo,  I'm Jonah Michea Judy.

I am a father, musician, and carpenter.

I have the skills to build homes, and the passion to give them away to homeless people in the world. Lets work together to solve one problem at a time, and start here. Having a place to live, to grow and be inspired from is a right, not a privilege.

I have done research in unconventional and conventional ways regarding this project to build homes and give them away, and I have decided that one of the demographics best benefited by this project is the houseless person with a vehicle to tow a mobile tiny home, but I have also come up with some other solutions to the challenges of solving homelessness.

I met someone when I was selling my last tiny home who had a job and a car with a hitch, who just couldn't afford housing, and was living in this vehicle, somewhat uncomfortably. People like this would benefit greatly from beautiful, neat, clean, space efficient and mobile, functional living space.

I have been observing that some tiny homes built and donated have been impounded due to the inhabitants' inability to move the homes where they need to go, and the challenges in trying to find good spaces for these homes.

A way around this predicament other than someone having a vehicle to tow with, is an inexpensive plot of land to place a tiny home upon. Cheap land is widely available in rural areas of the southwest (I have some land that I may offer for this situation if I am successful in raising enough funds to build a small house,) and once the habitat piece of a survival equation is solved, is makes for a place from which successful subsistence strategies are much, much easier to bring to fruition.

People need a place to rest and think from. Homelessness creates physical and mental strain that can greatly impede one's ability to support one's self all on its own.

Also, self-contained tiny homes can be placed in RV parks, which are typically quite affordable, and often close to public transportation and job opportunities. Some months of the space rent in this scenario could be paid through this gofundme campaign, to allow an individual a cushion of living space support from which to spring into self-sufficient bounty.

I am here, ready to move this project forward in a holistic way to help some people move forward in prosperity inside of this broken, out-of-balance capitalist system.

The goal here or 33.3K, if raised, would make a LOT possible. For a tiny home with a trailer, it tends to cost around $10 per square foot- which includes wheels under the house, plumbing, etc. Small solar setups are only around $300, allowing one to run lights and charge a phone, laptop, etc. off-grid. As soon as I raise enough to build something, I will begin the fast work of building a free home for someone in need.

Lets build some house!

Donations of land and materials are also welcome.

Homes in the video were designed and built by me, Judi Lynne Judy, and Brent O'Neel. Music is Angel in the Snow by Elliott Smith.

3 is my lucky number. Here we go!

Thanks for listening.
