Hi, I'm Tyler Curtis and I am the team captain of the South Plainfield Robotics Team. TIGER TECH Robotics Team #5624 has seen success all throughout the 2016 season and we hope to continue this success at the World Championship in St. Louis. This year, we have won at both the Mount Olive district competition and the Bridgewater district competition and hope to continue this success at the World Championship.
While our school has helped in providing for the three competitions we have attended, transportation to St. Louis is much more expensive. In addition we have to stay overnight for the whole completion in hotels adding to the total cost of the trip. The cost of this venture is a significant barrier as we only have less than two weeks till our competition. We are considering that students and parents will have to pay to full ticket costs in order to attend the championships. However, many vital members of the team will not be able to participate in the event. The competition takes places April 27th -30th and with your support, we hope to garner enough funding to get there.
